Happy Friday all! It is a raw and chilly rainy night but we made it through another week of virtual learning! To celebrate, I made a nice tall pitcher of Apple Cider Fall Sangria. This is one of my most favorite seasonal sangria recipes! The cider pairs great with the red wine, pears and apples. And the frozen cranberries keep it chilled, without diluting the delicious flavors. Plus I have one special ingredient that adds the perfect kick. You will love this one! It is an amazing fall drink that is perfect for a fall gathering with friends and family. Socially distanced, of course. Cheers to a wonderful weekend!
Apple Cider Fall Sangria
Ingredients:
1 bottle of red wine (any kind will work)
1 cup vodka
3 1/2 cups apple cider
2 pears, sliced
1 red apple, sliced
1 Granny Smith apple, sliced
1 1/2 cups of frozen cranberries
Optional: cinnamon stick as a garnish
Add the red wine, vodka and apple cider to a pitcher and stir.
Add the sliced apples and pears to the pitcher.
Stir and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. The longer it sits, the more that the flavors will come together.
When you are ready to serve the sangria, add the frozen cranberries and stir.
Pour into a wine glass and enjoy. Garnish with a cinnamon stick. If you would like, you could also add some ice cubes to the glass.
This Apple Cider Fall Sangria is the perfect sangria to enjoy from October, all of the way through the holiday season. The colors are so festive and the combination of flavors are perfect together. Cheers to a wonderful weekend!!
