Birthday blessings…

“Count your life by smiles, not tears. Count your age by friends, not years.”

Those are words to live by! I am not much of a birthday person but I was so thankful for this year’s celebration!

I had a lazy and relaxing day and treated it like a snow day in August. And then my family took me out for dinner at my favorite restaurant. A day like that was just what I needed!

Then a few of my sweet friends were so thoughtful and surprised me with the best pool party! And I was blessed with two homemade cakes, made with love! It doesn’t get any better than that! I am counting my birthday blessings and am so very thankful!

Look at how delicious my birthday dinner was! I was so full after dinner and didn’t have room for dessert so my husband improvised…

Thankfully I made up for it! Two of my friends baked me the most delicious cakes! A peach torte and a strawberry shortcake! How amazing is that?! Homemade desserts, made with love, are always the best!
