Blueberry Beer Cocktail

Hooray! It's Friday night and it is the start of a long Memorial Day weekend! I love this time of the year and can't wait for it to "officially" be summertime!

For tonight's "Friday Night Cocktail" I am sharing one of my favorite summertime drinks - a Blueberry Beer Cocktail! It is amazing how the homemade blueberry simple syrup totally transforms the taste of beer into the most delicious and refreshing cocktail. Even if you are not usually a beer drinker, you will love this one!

It's perfect for your long holiday weekend! Just look at those beautiful colors! Cheers! I am wishing everyone a happy and fun Memorial Day weekend!

Blueberry Beer Cocktail

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup water 3/4 cup blueberries

1 light beer or lager

1/2 of a lime, quartered

Ice cubes

  1. In a saucepan add the sugar, water and 1/2 cup of the blueberries to make a blueberry simple syrup.

  2. Cook until the blueberries pop open and the sugar fully dissolves.

  3. Strain the blueberry simple syrup through a sieve and into a jar.

  4. Put it in the refrigerator so that it is nice and cool for you when it is cocktail time! You can store this in the fridge for up to a month.

  5. When you are ready for a cocktail, take a tall glass and squeeze the lime into it.

  6. Fill the glass with ice and add 1 oz. of the blueberry simple syrup.

  7. Slowly pour the beer in until the glass is full and garnish with fresh blueberries. Frozen blueberries help to keep this super cold!

The blueberry simple syrup is done! Now it is time to make your Blueberry Beer Cocktail!

Enjoy this fresh taste of summer in a glass! This Blueberry Beer Cocktail is a "must try"! You will not believe the flavor! Perfect for your next party or Memorial Day celebrations. Cheers!
