Camping in the Adirondacks…

July 14, 2022

“Not all people feel they need to have wilderness, but I do. If things go bad and everything seems to go wrong, the best place to go is right into the remote wilderness, and everything's in balance there.”  -Clarence Petty

So true! I totally feel that way and I think that is why I love to camp so much.

Have you ever been to the Adirondacks before? We went camping there for the first time and fell in love with that part of our country. What a remote and beautiful area! We did not have any cell service while we were away and it was the best! There is something really awesome about everyone having no cell phones in their hands for a full vacation. A true escape, with family.

We got to take in the natural beauty of the Adirondacks! Lots of relaxation, family time, fishing, paddle boarding, swimming, kayaking and canoeing on the lake. And of course a campfire to end every day! It was so peaceful and it was just what I needed.

It did rain one night. Like ALL night! I was so thankful for sunshine and my minivan drying rack the next day…

Our favorite way to end the day…

Such clear and beautiful nights. One night we saw five shooting stars in a short amount of time!

I am so thankful for this time away with my family!
