Lots of celebrating lately as we toast to another year of marriage! I love remembering this special day!
My husband and I met when we were 18. I remember when we got engaged, my mother told me that I could have a traditional wedding or we could elope or have a small wedding and we could use the money as a down payment on a house. I found a way to do both!
We had a small destination wedding on the beach of the Outer Banks 23 years ago. I am so thankful for all of my friends and family who joined us down there for our special day. I have always loved the spontaneous heart that our friends and family surrounded us with as we said "I do". I remember the feeling of being surrounded by love. What a perfect way to start off a life together!
I have been so blessed and look forward to many, many more anniversaries together!
