Cheesy Baked Kale Chips

October 6, 2020

I picked up the most amazing vegetables from a local farm stand today and was instantly inspired. These gorgeous tomatoes are making me crave a BLT big time! So I decided to take the fresh kale that I bought and make some Cheesy Baked Kale Chips as our side. They are so crispy and delicious and are much healthier than potato chips. And they are absolutely amazing warm and fresh out of the oven. Trust me - even if you think that you don't like kale, you have to try these!

Cheesy Baked Kale Chips

Ingredients:

Kale, washed and dried

Olive oil spray

Garlic salt

Parmesan cheese, shredded

  1. Remove the stems from the kale. And rip into chip size pieces.

  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

  3. Place the kale onto the pan and spray with olive oil.

  4. Massage the olive oil into the kale. You do not want too much olive oil but you want the kale to be lightly covered.

  5. Sprinkle the oiled kale with garlic salt and toss well.

  6. Arrange the kale into a single layer so that it bakes evenly.

  7. Bake at 325 degrees for about 10 minutes.

  8. Flip the kale and bake for another 10 to 12 minutes, until it gets crispy.

  9. Add your desired amount of Parmesan cheese and bake until melted, about 3 minutes.

Dinner is served!! These kale chips also make a great appetizer for a party! It is a guilt free food that everyone will love to snack on!
