My family absolutely loves banana bread! And they love waffles too! I had to figure out a recipe that could bring two of our favorite breakfast treats into one and I finally did it! Chocolate Chip Banana Waffles are amazing! I love how we are getting all of the healthy and nutritious benefits of eating a banana while having a delicious chocolate chip waffle at the same time! What could be better? Especially the warm and gooey chocolate chips! You will love them!
Chocolate Chip Banana Waffles
Ingredients:
4 overripe bananas
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
1 tbsp sugar
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Mash the bananas in a large bowl.
Add the milk, eggs and sugar and whisk until combined.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
Pour the flour mixture into the banana mixture and stir until it is just combined. Do not over stir.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Spray your waffle maker with cooking spray.
Ladle in the waffle batter and close the top.
You will know that the waffles are done when it doesn't steam as much.
