Classic Air Fryer Meatballs

January 6, 2021

In my house, I can never make too many meatballs. Ever! It is my family's most favorite food! Who doesn't love a delicious homemade meatball? I recently discovered cooking them in my air fryer and now that is the only way that I make them. They cook faster, are lighter and come out perfectly every time! Such a true and classic meal!

Classic Air Fryer Meatballs

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork

3 eggs

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  1. Scramble the eggs in a large bowl and add the garlic.

  2. Add the meat to the bowl and top with the basil, oregano, salt and pepper.

  3. Give a good stir with a fork and then add the cheese and breadcrumbs.

  4. Now it’s time to get in there with your hands and mix until all of the ingredients are combined.

  5. Get out your air fryer basket and use a cookie scooper to make an easy meatball. If you don’t have one, a spoon works great too. I don’t like to form the meatballs too much because they become dense. We love light and fluffy meatballs.

  6. Make a single layer of meatballs in your basket.

  7. Spray the meatballs lightly with olive oil spray.

  8. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, until browned.

Note: If you do not have an air fryer, you can also follow this recipe and bake them on a sheet pan for 20 to 25 minutes at 375 degrees.

I love to serve these delicious homemade air fryer meatballs with a big pot of homemade marinara sauce. Such a perfect comfort food dinner!! And the leftovers are great on hoagie rolls too.
