Happy Friday all!! I am so excited that the sun is shining and that tomorrow is the first day of Spring! I love this time of the year -where the days are a bit brighter and longer!
For tonight's "Friday Night Cocktail", I decided to make a Spring looking cocktail to match the season. A Cosmopolitan! Also known as a "Cosmo". A feminine cocktail that was made famous by Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City. It is perfect for a girls night or to kick off the first weekend of Spring 2021! Cheers!
Cosmopolitan Cocktail:
Ingredients:
1 oz. Lime Juice, freshly squeezed
1 tsp Sugar
1 oz. Cranberry juice
Splash of Triple Sec
2 oz. Vodka
Ice Cubes
Optional: Lime Slice for garnish
Stir together the lime juice, cranberry juice and sugar in a cocktail shaker until the sugar is dissolved.
Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
Add the Vodka and Triple Sec.
Shake the shaker well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lime, if desired. Cheers!
Note: If you do not have a cocktail shaker, a Mason Jar works great for this too!
