Cranberry and Apple Chutney

It is cranberry season!! I love cranberries and always load up my freezer with lots of cranberries this time of the year.

My favorite thing to make with them is Cranberry and Apple Chutney. I make this every year! The combination of cranberries, apples and spices are perfect together! And I love how versatile this Cranberry Chutney is! The ways to use it is's delicious on Thanksgiving turkey, as a spread on a sandwich, with cream cheese on crackers, poured over chicken or pork to bake in the oven, etc.

I love to make a lot of this Cranberry Apple Chutney so that I can use it all year long! Plus it is a perfect homemade gift to give to your friends and family for Thanksgiving or Christmas! Plus it is so easy to make! Here's how...

Cranberry and Apple Chutney


1 (12 oz.) bag of cranberries, washed and dried

2 1/2 cups of apples, diced

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup honey

1 cup water

3 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. ground ginger

  1. Put all of the ingredients into a saucepan.

  2. Cook over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes, until the chutney thickens.

  4. Allow to cool and transfer into a container until you are ready to use.

I love this Cranberry Apple Chutney so much! And you will too! This easy recipe is sure to become a Thanksgiving tradition! It's delicious on turkey, as a spread on a sandwich or serve it over cream cheese for and easy and festive appetizer! It's delicious!
