November 11, 2021

Thanksgiving dinner is my husband's most favorite meal ever!! He loves everything about it and wishes that I would make it once a week! He has been craving this dinner big time ever since he overheard me ordering our turkey from the farm.

So, I think that I might surprise him and make this for dinner tonight. It has ALL of the flavors of Thanksgiving, without the fuss! Who doesn't love a hot open faced turkey sandwich on a cold fall evening? This dinner so perfect for a busy night when you need a quick and easy meal. It is the ultimate comfort food dinner that takes just minutes to make!

Ingredients:

Slices of white bread

Turkey, sliced thin from the deli

Fresh cracked pepper

1 or 2 jars of turkey gravy

Box of stuffing, prepared according to directions

  1. Cook the stuffing according to the directions and fluff with a fork. (I like to add some finely diced onion and celery to the melted butter to give it homemade taste. Then add the water and follow the rest of the directions on the box.)

  2. Add the gravy and turkey slices to a sauce pan and heat until it is nice and hot. Add lots of fresh cracked pepper.

  3. Place a slice of bread onto your plate and top with the warm turkey and gravy.

  4. Then add a layer of stuffing and thrn top with some more gravy and enjoy!

Because everything is better with more gravy, right?! And if you have some cranberry jelly, add that too!

This quick dinner always makes our house super happy! It is like having the joys of Thanksgiving leftovers without all of the work! What could be better than that?! I love a fast and easy dinner! Don't you?
