I grew up camping and absolutely love it! I love getting to see such beautiful parts of our country! I love a fun filled day outside exploring, I love the quiet sounds of nature and the crackle of the fire after a long day of hiking. I love it all!
And I love Gorp! My mom always made this delicious trail mix for us growing up and I loved it! I still do today! You might be wondering...why is it called Gorp? Well, Gorp is short for "good old raisins and peanuts". My mom always added M&Ms because everything is better with a little bit of chocolate, right? Of course, just like my mom had to, I am always telling my boys not to eat all of the M&Ms out of it! I love this simple recipe and I love how inexpensive it is to make a big batch! Perfect for your next camping trip, road trip or vacation!
Gorp Trail Mix Recipe
15 oz. California raisins
16 oz. dry roasted or honey roasted peanuts
10.7 oz. bag of M&Ms
So easy to make! Just put all of the ingredients into a large Ziploc bag, give it a shake to combine all of the ingredients and your Gorp is ready!
This is the perfect spot to take a Gorp snack break...
Such a delicious combination! And it is the best snack while camping and hiking! Such a treat!
