Grilled Corn on the Cob…the best way to make it!

July 6, 2022

When we go camping there is one thing that I always cook…grilled corn on the cob! We cook it over the campfire but this recipe isn’t just for camping. It is perfect to cook over your grill at home too!

We love corn on the cob cooked like this because it cooks in a bit of butter so it it ready to eat fresh off of the grill (with the butter and salt cooked into the corn)! Plus it comes out perfect every time and you don’t heat up your kitchen with a pot of boiling water on a hot summer’s day. You will absolutely love this grilled corn on the cob!

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Ingredients:

Corn on the cob (husks removed)

Salted butter

Salt

Aluminum

  1. Take a sheet of foil and add a few pats of butter to it, in a line.

  2. Place your piece of corn on top of the butter.

  3. Add a few more pats of butter on top of the corn.

  4. Sprinkle on some salt, to taste.

  5. Wrap the foil around the corn and seal it well.

  6. Place the corn on a heated grill.

  7. Rotate the corn every couple of minutes so that all sides cook evenly.

  8. When you start to hear the sizzle of the butter, the corn is ready to come off of the grill. Depending on how hot your grill is, it should take approximately 4-5 minutes.

  9. Take the corn off of the grill and enjoy while it is nice and hot.

The great thing about cooking the corn in aluminum foil is that it stays nice and hot for a while. So that you can keep on grilling anything else that you might have to cook. It’s the best!

Grilled corn on the cob and a cheeseburger fresh off of the grill! Is this a match made in heaven? Or what? A perfect dinner, grilled over a fire at our campsite! Delicious!
