Homemade Croutons

Don't throw away the end pieces from your loaf of bread. My boys never eat the ends and we can't waste any food at a time like this. Instead, dice up that bread and make croutons. My mom did this for us when we were growing up and it always made the salad delicious. Trust me, even finicky eaters will eat up the salad if they are topped with these!


Bread, diced

Butter (or olive oil spray)

Garlic salt

Pepper


1. Melt butter into the pan, on medium-high heat.

2. Toss in your diced bread.

3. Sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper.

4. Keep tossing the bread until it is golden brown on all sides.
