This is a great tip to know! Especially if you are on vacation and find a great bagel shop. Now you can take those delicious bagels home with you and enjoy them all year long.
I discovered this tip because I am the only one in my family who loves sesame bagels. I certainly don't need to eat 6 bagels! So rather than letting them go to waste, I freeze the rest for the next time that I am craving a bagel.
How to freeze Bagels...
Do not freeze the bagels whole! Instead, slice all of the bagels in half before freezing them and put them into a plastic bag. Close the bag with a bag tie and squeeze out as much air as possible. Freeze until you are ready to eat them. Then when you do want that bagel, it is easy to grab one and put it right into the toaster. Straight from the freezer!
How easy is this?! Now you can have a delicious bagel whenever you are in the mood for one!
