Happy New Year to all!! I have never been so excited to start a new year before. I am hopeful for the positive and good things that 2021 will bring to all of us.
It is Friday and it is the first day of 2021. It's time for a very special "Friday Night Cocktail". This refreshing cocktail just happens to share my nickname. I love a Kir Cocktail! And not just for the name. If you love white wine and berries, you will love this drink. The addition of Crème de Cassis adds a delicious and sweet blackcurrant flavor to the crisp white wine. It's the perfect twist and the deep red color is so festive. You will love it!
Kir Wine Cocktail
Ingredients:
1/2 oz. Crème de Cassis
White wine
Twist of lemon
Add the Crème de Cassis to a wine glass. Fill the glass with white wine and then garnish with a lemon twist.
A Kir is also delicious served over ice too.
