Suddenly, my three sons are 100% back into their busy sports schedules again. It isn't what it used to be as there are very strict rules that they have to follow to be safe but a few nights a week, we all have to eat dinner at a different times.

"Make your own hoagie night" to the rescue! This mom is getting a night off from cooking! I picked up a lot of lunch meat, cheese, rolls, lettuce and tomatoes from our local orchard. My boys love it when I do this! And I love that they are making their own dinner!

I grew up in Pittsburgh and hoagies were baked in the oven. When I went to the University of Delaware for college, I discovered that baked hoagies were called "grinders". Who knew?!

What are they called where you live? Subs? Heroes? Hoagies? Do you prefer them baked or cold? I love them baked with vinegar and crisp cold lettuce, tomato and thinly sliced onions.
