Happy Friday all! It was a bright and sunny day here! It was such a treat to feel the sunshine and soak in some Vitamin D on my walk. It got me dreaming of warm weather and tropical beaches. I miss traveling so much! Don't you?
Since I cannot be on the Riviera Maya right now, I might as well enjoy a margarita on the rocks at home, right? So, for my "Friday Night Cocktail" I decided to put a twist on the traditional margarita and make an Orange Margarita. Yum! What a sweet, crisp and refreshing cocktail! Plus, this is the tastiest way that I know to get some Vitamin C. Cheers to tropical beaches and cocktails one day soon! And cheers to a wonderful weekend!
Orange Margarita
Ingredients:
2 oz. Tequila
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
2 oz. Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
Lime Wedge
Optional Garnish: Orange Slices
Pour the tequila, triple sec and orange juice into a cocktail shaker or mason jar. You want to be sure to use freshly squeezed orange juice for this cocktail. Squeeze the juice of a lime wedge into your shaker. Put the lid on and shake well. Pour over a glass filled with ice and garnish with an orange slice. Enjoy!
I am dreaming of sitting on a warm tropical beach...
Ahhhh...maybe someday! Until then, I will dream and sip on my Orange Margarita! It is so refreshing!
