Are you looking for an easy vegetable dish to serve with your Easter dinner? This simple dish is a breeze to make - you will crave it all year long! It goes great with ham, chicken, steak and seafood. This roasted asparagus takes minutes to make and it is always delicious!
Parmesan and Rosemary Roasted Asparagus
Ingredients:
1 lb fresh asparagus
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp dried rosemary
1/8 tsp garlic powder
Kosher salt and pepper to taste
1/4 Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
Cut the bottoms of the asparagus spears off. (You can tell where to cut by taking one spear and bending it. It will break, where you should cut.)
Place the asparagus spears onto a sheet pan that is lined with parchment paper.
Drizzle the olive oil over top.
Sprinkle on the salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Use the palms of yours hands to crush the dried rosemary and then sprinkle it over the asparagus.
Toss the asparagus well. You want to make sure that all of the asparagus is coated well with the olive oil, herbs and spices.
Spread the asparagus into a single layer.
Bake at 400 degrees for 11 to 13 minutes, depending on how thick your asparagus spears are.
Take the pan out of the oven and toss the asparagus.
Arrange the asparagus into a single layer and sprinkle the parmesan cheese over top. You must use freshly grated parmesan cheese for this recipe.
Place the pan back into the oven and bake for another one or two minutes, until the cheese melts.
When they cheese has melted, remove the pan from the oven and serve as a delicious side dish.
