It is peach season! And the fresh peaches are incredible! I have 3 growing teenage boys and overnight, their crazy busy sports schedule has picked up right back to where was before the quarantine. I am so happy for them as they love being active again! However, I can't seem to keep up with the amount of food that their active bodies need!
Protein shakes are perfect for our busy schedules! It is a great and healthy meal replacement for me as I enter back to life on the go. And it is the best snack ever for my growing boys who need lots of protein and calcium. This Peaches and Cream Protein Shake is one of our favorites! And with frozen peaches you can enjoy this sweet treat all year long!
Peaches and Cream Protein Shake
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen peaches
1 (6 oz.) container of of peach yogurt
2 scoops of vanilla protein powder
3/4 cup milk (or water if you are watching calories)
6 shakes of pumpkin pie spice
Optional: spinach leaves
Add frozen peaches to a blender or smoothie maker.
Add the yogurt, protein powder and milk or water over top of the peaches. I use water because I am watching my calories. I add milk to my boy's shakes so that their growing bodies get more protein and calories.
If desired, add a handful of spinach leaves for some extra iron.
Add 6 shakes of pumpkin pie spice.
Blend until your smoothie is nice and smooth!
Top with some extra pumpkin pie spice if you love it as much as I do!
This cold and refreshing Peaches and Cream Protein Shake is the best treat on a hot summer day! And it is SO incredibly delicious that your kids won't even know that it is healthy and super good for them!
