If you are like our house, we go through a ton of Marinara Sauce!! Here is an easy one that doesn't take long to throw together...

1 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 can tomato paste

28 oz. can crushed tomatoes

14 oz. water

1 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp basil

1 tbsp oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1. In a skillet, sauté the onion until translucent.

2. Add garlic for 45 seconds and stir in the tomato paste (don't forget to freeze extra the paste that you aren't using).

3. Add the crushed tomatoes and water. Stir.

4. Add the sugar, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir and let it simmer a bit to let all of the flavors mix together and the sauce will start to thicken.
