It truly would not be the holiday season without making a couple of batches of our favorite hot dip!

This Spicy Hot Sausage and Tomato Dip is perfect for your New Year's Eve celebration! This hot dip is always the hit of the party! I honestly do not know anyone who doesn't like it and the best part is that it is so easy to make. What could be better? It's delicious served with tortilla chips or veggie sticks and it's perfect every time!

Spicy Hot Sausage and Tomato Dip

Ingredients:

1 lb. roll of spicy hot pork sausage

1 (10 oz.) can of diced tomatoes with green chilies

1 (8 oz.) package of cream cheese, diced

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1 to 2 green onions, diced

Fresh cracked pepper to taste

Paprika

  1. Brown the sausage in a skillet, crumbling it into small pieces as you go.

  2. Drain the fat out of the skillet.

  3. Add the full can of diced tomatoes with green chilies and the cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until melted and well combined.

  4. Add the pepper, garlic powder and green onions. Cook for a few minutes and stir until combined.

  5. Pour into a pie dish and sprinkle with some paprika.

  6. Serve hot right away or keep the dip warm in a mini crock pot. Or reheat this dip later, when ready to serve. This dip tastes best when it is nice and hot.

Please note: You can also use a pound of hot Italian sausage with the casings removed as a substitute. I have found that both work great!

And if you are not a fan of a spicy dip, you could always use sweet Italian sausage as well

You would not believe how quickly my boys can finish this delicious dip! Always a favorite here!
