It's Saturday, the Masters weekend and it is my first full day of Spring Break! It is a great day to make an Azalea Cocktail. This cocktail is the signature cocktail of the Masters and it is amazing! It's a perfect cocktail to sip on as you watch some golf on TV. Of course it is named after the bright pink azalea flowers that Augusta National is known for. As much as I love those beautiful blooms, this refreshing cocktail is even better!!
The Masters Signature Azalea Cocktail
Ingredients:
Cocktail Shaker
Ice Cubes
2 oz. Vodka
2 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 oz. Freshly squeezed juice of a lemon
Splash or two of Grenadine
Lemon Wedge
Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes. If you do not have a cocktail shaker, a mason jar works great too.
Pour your vodka, pineapple juice and lemon juice into the shaker.
Add a few splashes of grenadine to your cocktail shaker.
Place the lid onto your cocktail shaker and give it a good shake.
Fill a glass halfway with ice.
Strain your Azalea Cocktail into your glass and garnish with a lemon wedge.
If you prefer a lighter drink, just use a highball glass and top this cocktail with some club soda. I love it like that too!
This delicious cocktail isn't just for watching the Masters. It is so light and refreshing that you will want to enjoy it all spring and summer long! It is the perfect cocktail to serve at a party because everyone always loves it!
