Today, my son had a lacrosse game in the same area that my grandparents lived when I was growing up. I grew up in Pittsburgh and loved coming to this part of the state to visit them. It is such a beautiful area, out in the country, with farms everywhere. I grew up in a small town on the Allegheny River so I always loved the change of being in the countryside.
Since I was in the area, I had to stop by Landhope Farms. Landhope Farms is an old barn that was converted into a convenience store. They always had the best hoagies and ice cream. So of course, I got one of their Italian hoagies for lunch today. It was just as delicious as I had remembered. One bite took me right back to my childhood. I love how foods and places can bring back happy memories like that.
