Baked Brie en Croute with Cranberry and Apple Chutney

December 5, 2022

Do you remember that Cranberry and Apple Chutney recipe that I just posted last month? Not only is it great for Thanksgiving. It is also perfect to have on hand for a quick and easy appetizer throughout the entire holiday season.

I absolutely love this Baked Brie en Croute with Cranberry and Apple Chutney. The combination of pecans and spices with the warm cranberries, apples and gooey brie cheese are perfect for the holiday season! And it takes just minutes to prepare! It is such a festive and easy appetizer! Which is good to have on hand during this time of the year. I love appetizers! Don't you?

Baked Brie en Croute with Cranberry and Apple Chutney

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of homemade cranberry and apple chutney (please find the recipe in the link below)

1 (8 oz.) wheel of brie

1 roll of refrigerated pie crust, room temperature

3 tbsp pecans, chopped

  1. Lightly cut off the top of the brie rind. It does not have to be perfect.

  2. Unroll the pie crust and place it on a parchment lined sheet pan.

  3. Place the wheel of brie in the center of the pie crust.

  4. Spoon on the cranberry chutney to the brie and spread it out evenly in one layer.

  5. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over top.

  6. Fold up the pie crust around the brie and fold pleats into it to make it look pretty.

  7. Bake at 400 degrees for 22 minutes. Until it is nice and golden. You do not want to over cook this because then the crust gets crispy.

  8. Serve warm with crackers or slices of baguette.

Please note that if you do not have prepared pie crusts on hand, a roll of crescent dough is amazing for this recipe too! Both ways are equally delicious!
